[MyWorld] Working on a Car and Hanging Out

For MyWorld Tuesday I share a couple of typical street scenes in, well, my world, in the Philippines.

I took these photos this week close to the "wet" market we go to for much of our fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs and seafood. I've posted a number of images from this area before.

For these street photographs I did a bit of post-processing to make them more appealing to me. Tell me what you think... did it work?

Hello Francisca - in answer to your comment, I'm very well, thanks. Found out today that my expected grandchild will be a girl and I'm truly delighted.

I liked these shots of everyday life and work - and the post-processing works for me. The vignetting focuses attention on the colourful main subjects.

It worked very well Francisca! The colours appear in a way that suits the scenery perfect.

(I have fisheye in my compact Canon G12 - it's fun)

these are fantastic street photos. and yes, the post-processing works nicely. great job Francisca. I love street photography. I'm curious, are you comfortable photographing strangers, and do you ask their permission? I'm intimidated unless I can do it unseen! Happy Monday to you. but I bet it's almost Tuesday there!

I think this is the first time I see someone trying to jump into an engine!

What an interesting area! I see vivid lives of the people in your photos. But, they look scary a little. Are they mechanics?
Have a nice day!

Great work. And great work photos. I like this kind of street photography, but it's hard to get good results.

Great shots of a typical Manila scene. You did a really good job at both photographing and post processing.

I love the texture and light in that last shot. And the expressions on their faces too.

Two top shots. I like the guy who climbed onto the engine. I am no expert on processing, but the photos are good, whatever you did.

Wonderful, Francisca:-) I love the shot of the lad standing on the car peering into the engine and the other lad about to climb up, too, apparently.

Nice pics - I like them. The first one reminds me of my dad's old pics - he was a car mechanic :)
